Roselian Pendragon (ロゼリアンペンドラゴン,Rozerianpendoragon), she is the meister partner of Excalibur , and is the only descendant of the now deceased King Arthur.

Cultural References

Roselian`s last name Pendragon is a reference to Ulther Pendragon and Arthur Pendragon. Her first name Roselian is of Latin origin and means rose.

Personality

Bit of a crybaby Roselian is also kind-hearted and well-mannered but has the stance of a knight hence her nickname Knight Princess. Despite being from the famed Britannica Family the Pendragons, Roselian is not much of a warrior herself and cries a lot. However she is known to also sport a bit of a temper that is slow to rouse but when roused from a deep sleep is quite nasty in the long run. Her timid nature and pressure from her peers make her out to be quite a unique meister. Despite Excalibur`s annoying habits she enjoys his company even if she doesn't show it around him. She would do anything to protect her partner even if it meant that she would die. The most relaxed of Death`s subordinates, she is strong-willed. When her subordinates get drunk she gets pissed off making her react like her mother in terms of when she is pissed off at Roselian`s father.

Appearance

Roselian`s general appearance

Roselian is a petite girl with fair skin. As of her introduction, she has long, dark blue hair that reaches down to her waist, with two bangs framing her face which reach down to her chest alongside her brown eyes. She later cuts her hair down to a bob cut during her battle with a witch that is trying to manipulate Soul and Maka. Unlike most human meisters she has elongated canine teeth. At first, she wears a simple dress with two wavy stripes running across the dress and ending in small pointed edges at the bottom. Around her arms and legs she wears wing like attachments. During her time in Evermore the Capital of the Angels where she lived with her mother before Death found her half-dead she wore her hair up in ponytails held together by two animal ear like attachments. Two strands of hair hang down on each side of her face. She wears a long sleeved top with two buttons in the center and an ascot around her neck. The top is adorned with a small pattern around the shoulders and a small trim around the upturned cuffs. She wears a frilled skirt with a small trim running around right above the end. She also wears thigh high socks to finish off her appearance. She wears several different outfits. At first, she wears a flowing dress with a triangular pattern near the top and crossing pattern around the rest of the dress. She wears a thick band around each of her arms and ankle tied sandals on her feet. After becoming one of Death`s subordinates she is seen wearing a long-sleeved double-breasted black coat with shoulder epaulettes and two rows of buttons, a ribbon tied around the neck, a wide white belt with a circular buckle, white gloves, knee-high black boots.

Casual

When she is not off doing missions for Lord Death, she is usually shown in a white short knee-high dress and black boots with her hair flowing down her shoulders not tied back or anything. When she is making breakfast for Death the Kid she wears a cute apron with the kanji for Cat and Kawaii on it. Underneath the apron she wears a sky blue blouse and white shorts with cat slippers on her feet.

Power

Due to being one of Death`s subordinates she is considerably dangerous renowned for her skill with Excalibur which makes her even more dangerous. However due to possessing the Anti-Demon Wavelength she is even more dangerous to enemies of Lord Death. All of Lord Death`s subordinates possess this power making them even more powerful in the long run and even more when they combine together their powers for a fight. She has noted by Lord Death to be his strongest subordinate.

Special Abilities

Anti-Demon Wavelength (退魔の波長, Taima no hacho): Possessing a specialized wavelength in which allows her to drive away evil, this wavelength allows her to act as a bane towards individuals who use magic such as a witch,[38], demons, and immortals. Roselian also has been seen utilizing more enhanced forms of the Witch-Hunt. She can voluntarily transfer this wavelength to her partner, or to others on her own with physical contact. In the anime, it is explained that she inherited this special Soul Wavelength from her mother and her ancestor Arthur Pendragon.

Grigori (グリゴリ, Gurigori): Roselian possess a rare soul type in which allows for flight. To enable this ability, she requires the usage of a Death's Weapon to utilize advanced magical-like powers. This is one of her abilities that she has a highly-advanced skill in.

Wavelength Control (波長コントロール, Hachō Kontorōru): Roselian is highly-advanced in the control of her wavelength and can completely control it. Due to being a meister she has control over her wavelength and can utilize her wavelengths outside of using her weapon partner Excalibur.

Utility Meister (ユーティリティ職人, Yūtiriti Shokunin):  Although Roselian is primarily a Sword-Meister she can wield other sort of weaponry despite not knowing how to wield it. This skill has made her viewed with fear by the Witches who vowed never to mess with her and she showed her degree of skill with this skill when she wielded a Scythe because Excalibur was being hidden by Lord Death from the Witches.

• Sword-Meister (ソードマイスター,Sōdomaisutā): Primarily adept in using a sword, Roselian has attained a level of proficiency that made her one of the top three-star subordinates of Lord Death`s faction leading to her attaining the sword of victory and promise Excalibur.
  • Sword-Handling: When she first came to Death Weapon Meister Academy she was a inadapt sword-wielder but over time grew to become one of Death`s most powerful subordinates leading to her eventual promotion to become Captain of Death`s team of subordinates. Her skill with Excalibur is shown when she hits Death the Kid with the blunt edge of her sword, and uses the hilt of Excalibur to hit Soul in the stomach throwing him into the air and then kicking him into Black Star.

Danger Sense: Due to having always been surrounded by danger she is always attuned to it and is able to react immediately. This ability is shown when she recognizes Medusa`s soul to be a Witch`s soul despite Medusa having Soul Protect on.

Enhanced Athleticism: She is able to hit Death the Kid with the blunt edge of Excalibur despite him being Lord Death`s child. Her athletic ability was renowned enough to compared to Lord Death's who is very athletic and who is quite powerful himself.

Hand-to-Hand Combat (体術たいじゆつ, Taijutsu): She is one of the most powerful meisters in Soul Eater shown in her hand-to-hand combat. She is able to block Death`s kick and send one right back even if it didn't hit him.

Enhanced Durability: Roselian is the most powerful meister directly after Death the Kid and Lord Death in her durability. She was able to survive being almost choked and having her neck snapped and was able to handle getting slammed into the ground. Her durability is shown when Medusa hits her with an attack that sends her flying through several buildings, but she still stands up despite having wounds that could kill her. Her durability was even praised by Death himself who acknowledged that she was a worthy subordinate.

Enhanced Strength: She is many leagues stronger than a human and can even send a human flying even if she tries hard enough. This ability is useful when she is fighting Ragnarok who is inside Crona and whose strength she managed to match without really trying.

Enhanced Agility: Due to not being a human she is very agile and is capable of leaping into the air on accident or intentionally. She is capable of avoiding attacks that are near her or about to reach her body, face, or personal space.

Equipment

• Avalon: Excalibur`s sheath she carries it with her on missions to sheath Excalibur so that she doesn`t have to deal with the annoying human form of Excalibur.
• Unnamed Axe: In case that Excalibur is lost, stolen, or used by somebody else. This axe is considered to very powerful and the second weapon that Roselian carries in disguise as a writing pen.
• Notebook: To write down important information in case she needs to blackmail people. She always carries with it even on missions. She also uses it to draw suspicious objects that could be reported to Lord Death who could issue a warrant.
• Armor: Despite being the most powerful of Death`s subordinates she still wears armor in case she needs to shrug off an attack from powerful enemies or if she needs to block an attack from witches. This armor is enchanted to block attacks from most entities.
